Lectures
- What's gender got to do with it:
Facilitating conflict between men and women
Process Work Institute
May 2005
Commonly held assumptions about the two gender system lead us to certain beliefs and conclusions about men, women and how we relate. In this lecture, I discuss mainstream psychological theories of gender and introduce a more process-oriented approach. Using case examples, I show how power, privilege and internalized oppression create conflict and misunderstanding between people of any gender.

- Where history, culture and dreaming collide: An introduction to Process Work with issues of violence against women
Donegal, Ireland 2005
Violence against women is a worldwide problem. Consensus reality solutions and legal measures are essential. Battered Women's Syndrome was one such measure. In this lecture I discuss some pitfalls of this "diagnosis" and introduce a process-oriented approach, which includes dreaming and non-consensus-reality solutions.
- Uncontrollable passions: A Process Work approach to addictions
Process Work Institute, Nov. 2004
Addiction can be a doorway to our dreaming process. There is potential for wholeness and creativity hidden within our addictions and addictive patterns. This lecture introduces Process Work with addictions, compares it with the 12 step approach and shows how the two can inform and complement one another.

- Painting and dreaming
Portland, Oregon, 2003
Discussing art and psychology together is controversial, and can be limiting and reductive, depending on the approach. Over-analyzing can kill creativity. Art cannot be reduced to psychology. In this lecture, I discuss how artists can go beyond their known world by learning to use various forms of awareness and perception when making art, including non-ordinary and
altered states of consciousness.
